The Silence

Everybody wants the one right way

The one right answer for each question we've raised and

We're so desperate just to find a little truth

We'll follow others blindly till we find it's no use cause

We're still lying and

We're still crying and

We're still struggling after years of trying

We're still losing and

We're not proving anything

But the only source of every truth comes

In the silence

The answers come falling through

In the silence

And everybody's taught to stand for their way

The one right culture right religion right race and

We're so caught up justifying our roots

We forget to take the time to see the other points of view cause

We're still judging and

We're still grudging and

We're still stubbornly standing no budging and

We're still losing and

We're not proving anything

But the only source of every truth comes

Well we want answers and we want peace and

We want ending to all of our grief well

If we listen just

Face the world with open eyes

When we finally learn to empathize

Then we'll find the truth we all desire
